13 weeks and officially 3 months old!

Dear Noel,
You my little man have reached 3 months old!! You are now laughing pretty often - you love when I pretend to eat your
belly, blow raspberries on it, or kiss your hands and cheeks. You think it's really funny :). I love making you happy and laugh!! When I talk to anyone - Daddy, Mamee, Auntie Moe, Brian... you just stare at me with this gigantic smile on your face. You seem to just love listening to my voice.

You now try to jump lol when people bounce you up and down while you're standing and then they stop, you bend your legs trying to make them keep you jumping! It's just too cute. You have started grabbing at almost anything lol, hair, clothing, daddy's glasses, skin, fingers, really anything you can get your little hands on! Which is great! I love when I nurse you and you grab my clothing and play with it as you nurse yourself content. :) You also now grab your little toes and seem to be really interested in them LOL.

You got your first cold this week and your first diaper rash! :( I have brought you to the doctors twice already. You had a low grade fever the first few days and you weren't eating very much, then you were seemingly throwing up everything you did eat when you started to, but now you're nursing decently and just sleeping often. I am hoping this is the last of it! You also have had a runny/stuffy nose, watery eyes, and a cough! Virus's are evil aren't they? :( Yucky. I've been treating your rash and that looks better also but not completely gone yet. :/ I hate when you're feeling sick!

I've also caught you for the second time sucking your thumb!! I secretly love it when you suck your thumb even though I shouldn't. When I was a little baby/girl I sucked my thumb - until I was 8 yrs old. So when you suck your thumb - I guess I feel that you're maybe a little bit like me and not all daddy. Selfish of me, maybe. You look just like your daddy - although you do have blue eyes still, like mine. :)

You've also been spending more time with your aunt, uncle, and mamee. Oh and Lailah said that when you get older you may not call her Lailah - you must call her Sister or Sissy LOL. I think it's adorable how much she treasures you. A few days ago when you weren't feeling well at all - you let out a long big burp and she started crying :(. She said, "I care about him, hes my little brother." Awhhhh :') So sweet!

I love, love, love this photo of me wearing you in Jack :) I love wearing you. I love being able to do things around the house or out of the house with you still being held close to me. :)  Although I really love this other picture as well! <3

12 weeks

Dear Noel,
You're at 12 weeks! Almost 3 months old. I will keep mentioning how fast time is flying and how crazy it is. You are pretty communicative and interactive with us now. You smile, giggle, attempt to talk often, coo, and you definitely know what you want! Mommy knows you quite well. :) I know when you are tired, when you're hungry, when you need a change, and when you're just wanting attention. :D I love knowing you so well! And when it seems you can't be calmed all mommy and daddy need to do is bring you in the bathroom and turn the shower on. You get so silent ! You LOVE the shower and you know exactly what you want. :) You're just adorable.



For the first time this week Mommy was away from you. :( I was away for 5 hours. Daddy was at home caring for you. He did an amazing job. He even wore you for his first time!! :) You didn't do too bad yourself. :p You whined a bit but you didn't cry which is great! I pumped a bottle of mommy milks for you before I left. You drank it right before I got home but you still wanted me. Then we cuddled for the rest of the night. <3

Noel, I love you just so much. When I was away from you for a few hours I texted daddy every half hour asking how you were, if you were ok, and if I should come home. You are so important to me. You won my heart and soul over. Your smiles light up my day. When I wake up I'm the first face you usually see and you smile up at me so big with that light in your eyes. You're so innocent and perfect. Untainted by this world. It scares me to know that one day you won't be my little baby anymore.

You seem to be teething a bit. Even though you're only 12 weeks old. You constantly have your hands in your mouth - chewing on them. You also drool everywhere! lol.

11 weeks!

Dear Noel,
You've reached 11 weeks old. :) You are such a great baby. Very happy, giggly, alert, and cuddly!

You got your first kisses already! This week a little girl named Ally who is 1 years old was looking at you, so I picked you up and I was showing you to her and saying, "This is Noel. Want to say hi?" She grabbed your face and kissed you right on the lips before I even knew what was happening LOL. Then we went to a birthday party last Sunday and a little girl named Reagan who is 4 kissed you right on the cheek lol. SO cute !!

This week was an exciting week!! We got cloth diapers, a new wrap called Jack's Treasure and a water ring sling!! :) I'm still learning how to wrap well... but I'm pretty                                                             good at the sling! The sling                                                    definitely helps to make showers easier. :)

Here's your fluffy little bum with your big sissy ! She adores you. She's been showing you the ropes on what it's like to be a kid. :p Showing you what shows are worth watching and all. Hahaha, it's adorable!

And here you are with daddy :) <3 He loves to play with you and try to get you to laugh. I love watching you both together. (I might say this every single time I post pictures of you both together.) You and your daddy, you and your sister, you all together - they're my favorite moments because you're all my favorite people!

Then in this other pic you were trying to eat his nose !! LOL. You actually often try to eat his nose... it's quite amusing.

Porky baby <3

Here is your handsome smiling face. :) So adorable. You had your 2 month appt last night. You were 23 inches long and 12lbs 13oz. :) You've slowed down on weight gain but you're still doing very very well! We are still EBF ! Such an amazing little nursling you are. <3 I love filling your belly with my mommy milk and you looking up at me so content and happy. :) You got your shots too. :( Made me sad but it had to be done. You screamed for like 10 seconds then I latched you on and you nursed and all was right with the world again. <3 So happy that I could calm you quickly.

This week we also went to your very first museum ! We went to the Children's Museum with your sister and Papa Doug and you just sat in the Moby and looked around. :) We didn't have Jack yet... he was arriving later that day! :) But I love this picture of us! I actually made it my profile picture on fb. :)

Oh Goodness Noel, I love you so much. I never thought I could love anyone as much and equally as I do your sister but apparently I can. I love you both more than you both will ever know. I can't even picture my life without you both. <3 You both fill my heart with so much love, joy, and happiness. You both are my world. You mean everything to me. <3

10 weeks old. :)

Dear Noel,
Today you are 10 weeks old! It is incredible how fast time has gone by since you've been born. I can't believe that 20 weeks ago I was having a pretty crazy last 10 weeks waiting for you. Preterm labor, constant braxton hicks, I broke my elbow, fell downstairs and had to go to the hospital for you to be monitored, and lots of other false labors. But the day before your due date you came to see us. :) 39weeks and 6days pregnant. Healthy as can be. Perfect in every way. <3

You've been sitting up really well with help. Sitting on laps happily. And you even attempt to pull yourself up sitting while in your car seat or any recline position. You LOVE to be held standing up, so strong lol ! You still talk away to us too, I love it - I could listen to you babble all the time. You've even started laughing more now - I can not wait til I can get you giggling away. For now it's little laughs and then you get the hiccups - just like your big sister does!! So much alike already. :) <3

You're getting so much more active! You now sometimes kick your feet around while nursing and stick them up in the air lol, too cute. And you chew away on your fist or anything you can shove in your mouth. You're not teething yet but soon. :) Also, your swing sometimes amuses you, you love to look up at the mobile with this face of facination, loooooveee it !





You're sleeping better at night. Most of the time you only get up around 2/3am then you wake up at 5/6am which is a pretty good schedule. You usually stay up til 7/8am and then nap again after that. Sometimes though, you fight sleep and you either want to comfort nurse to sleep, be worn to sleep, or be snuggled up close to my chest. It can get exhausting but I don't mind. :)






Your big sister Lailah has been spending a lot more time holding you and talking to you this week. A couple days ago she played a little game with you - I caught it on video and it was just so precious. <3 I love that she loves you so much! I really hope you both can have a great friendship together in the future and will be there for one another.

You've been so super alert. You really pay attention to us now. You seem to just love the sound of mommys voice. When I talk you just smile up at me like it's your favorite sound in the world. Daddy and I both talk to you and play with you and you can easily look back and forth between us both now. You seem to try to communicate with us and it's so much fun. We like to pretend we know what you're saying LOL. You've even been staying with daddy longer lately, spending time with him. :) I love watching my two guys together. The love he has for you makes me love him even more!!

9 weeks :)

Dear Noel,
Today you are 9 weeks old. :D You are getting SO big! I estimate you to be about 14 lbs but that's just a guess :) We will see at your appointment next week. You talk much more now and sometime you even have little giggles. It is the CUTEST thing lol ! I absolutely love it. Your smiles are just one of the best things in my entire life. Right now you're actually 'yelling' (cooing) at me - to get my attention and when I talk to you you smile so BIG ! It is just the most precious thing.










You've been sleeping really well this week! Enough where I get plenty of sleep too. :) We bedshare and it makes everything so much easier, plus I get a ton of cuddles. :) You still love your swing too so sometimes you sleep in there. Gives mommy and daddy an hour or two of a break to ourselves in a way we can still watch you. <3


You are so aware and strong! You hold your head up really well and you love to stand and look around! You've been so curious since day one. :) Although, when I lay you on my belly to do some tummy time with you then you protest haha and you 'yell' (coo) at me ! You tend to only coo when you're not liking something, but not enough for you to cry. Or when you want my attention. :) You've also been attempting to jump haha! You bounce and literally try to jump while we hold you standing.


I feel like our mommy/son bond is only getting stronger. :) You light up my life everyday. Even when I'm down you help me to function - but I guess that's my job as mommy. :) I know you really well and I wouldn't have it any other way. You are still nursing like a champ ! The way you look up at me sometimes just melts my heart. I can't imagine this any other way.



You love your daddy. :) You love when he plays with you and talks to you. He loves to do 'airplane' with you -- where he holds you up above him as he's laying down and he zooms you around then at the end he plops you down on your little baby bum. It's adorable to watch. You coo at him and giggle at him with these enormous smiles. You also happen to be just like
him in more than just looks - you're super ticklish as well! You will stay with daddy for about a half hour before you wonder where I am, then you want mommy cuddles. <3



I still wear you. Some people feel that I shouldn't but I don't really care. I love to have you up close to me where you feel safe and secure and calm. Especially when we go anywhere. Sometimes when you notice a lot of people I think you get overstimulated and nervous because you usually want to comfort nurse for a few minutes to calm down. Recently though you sometime want to hang your right arm out so you have more mobility to look around with that curious spirit of yours, while we are at home. :p I like allowing you to make these little choices for yourself even if you don't understand that you are yet. You certainly know what you like and what you don't. :p




The last couple weeks before sleep you would get so fussy and cry and I always thought something had to be wrong and I didn't know what to do. So for the past couple weeks I just brought you in the shower until you fell asleep and then daddy would take you to oil you down and dress you. Then it was much easier for me to get your asleep and to stay asleep. But recently you just want me to lay you against my chest, holding you, rocking you, and patting your back. You then drift right off to sleep knowing that you are safe right in mommys arms. :) <3 I love you so much my little Noel.

Oh and I cut all my hair off! I felt bad cuz it kept getting tangled in your little baby flubb :) But here is a picture of you, your sister, and myself. :)

8 weeks old!

Dear Noel,
Today you are 8 weeks!!! 2 months (or so :p) Some people wait til the date of birth to say their baby is another month old. In that case I guess you have 6 more days. But anyhow, 8 weeks! I love you and I love having you. <3 Recently we've been cuddling, nursing, and sleeping a lot. This past week you've sort of taken to getting REALLY fussy at nights and at first it was overwhelming and I didn't know what to do. It seemed like you didn't want to nurse - not even comfort nurse, you were already burped, had a clean diaper, and didn't want to be in the swing. But I realized you just really wanted to be laying down, barely touched, but able to nurse so you could fall asleep. It's worked! In this picture you have a scratch on your eye. I don't know if it was done by you and your crazy long fingernail
s - which I clipped last night. Or by me on accident while I was moving you. :( But I felt like crying. You didn't cry though because I didn't notice it until a while after it was done. :/
You are now officially in size 2 diapers and you even happen to fit into some 6-9 clothing (but not too many yet). You've also started grabbing a hold of my hair - I think I'm going to chop it all off. And earlier today you were grabbing my fist and gumming away on it. I wonder if you'll teeth early.

You are getting so big and so strong!! You can hold your head up really really well now. :) And you love to be held sitting up on someones lap so you can look around the room. You get more and more curious the older you get. You seem to even try to pull yourself to sit up. When we hold you up under your arms so that you're standing you hold a lot of your own weight on those little legs of yours!





You are now talking up a storm!! It is the CUTEST thing ever! Seriously. You coo and make the most adorable sounds. And you really seem to be responsive and not just babbling. You now focus extremely well on faces and you also make some of the greatest faces! Your facial expressions are just priceless. You still only giggle in your sleep so far but I can not wait to hear you giggling and laughing away! For now I will continue listening to you and your precious coos! And those big beautiful smiles you give me! <3 Oh, I'm so in love with you sweetheart :)


Our nursing is STILL going strong!! You love your numnums!! No bottles at all yet! We just nurse whenever you let me know you're hungry. Oh and daddy and I are going to teach you how to do some sign language. Like - milk please, diaper, mommy, daddy, and eat. :) I love nursing you. I love that for the past 8 months I've been able to continue supporting your life through using my body. That all of your growth is done by the most natural process there is - a mommy feeding her baby! I love our bond and I absolutely adore the way you look up at me with those big (blue for now) eyes !! <3 Check out this smile you gave me!

7 weeks old!

Dear Noel,
Today you are 7 weeks old!! Unbelievable. I can't believe it's been almost 2 months already! It's incredible how much you've grown. You are amazing to have in my life. You're just the sweetest and greatest baby ever. I seriously believe that lol. You are still so alert and curious and your smiles light up my whole day. When I look at you and your big sister I know I've done something right in life.


I've started doing tummy time with you - lying you on your belly so that you will use your neck muscles to look up and hold your head up. It helps strengthen those muscles.  :)










You now hold your head up longer, you've been making cooing sounds more often ! :)  You give eye contact and you really seem to try to communicate with your daddy and I. You've been staying awake more often. And contently looking around the room - taking everything in I assume. :) You smile so often, it's just so precious!! And you laugh - but only in your sleep haha. I did get your first little social giggle on video the other day though! You seem to be ticklish like your daddy is!

I still wear you and I love it - so do you. I love having you close to me and with me at almost all times. I actually love to rub my cheeks on the top of your head because your hair is just so soft!! I know, what a strange mommy! You also love shower times so much that you like to just fall asleep. They must be so calming for you. :)

When you get upset... you don't often cry either. You just whine. Literally, you try to talk to me and tell me that you need something changed - you are hungry, need a diaper change, or a burp, or you're just tired of the swing and want to be held. It's the sweetest lol.

We're also still breastfeeding strong!! You don't nurse for as long anymore though. Like 5 - maybe 10 mins. You have big burps too LOL. But still nursing like a champ!!
You are now in 0-3 clothing - no more newborn for you!!  and I just had to get some size 2 diapers - even though I'm still finishing off the size 1's. You'll be in the size 2 in no time!!
