8 months old already!

Dear Noel,
You are 8 months old today!! Incredible. You are such a happy, giggly, amazing little boy. You are learning things so fast I just can't believe it.

You are now actually standing yourself up. You get on your feet with your bum low to the ground and you power push your legs and you stand straight up ! So insane ! You've been doing this for the past few days or so.

You love riding on your daddy's shoulders and you've even started holding your arms out in his direction to go to him!! :)

Your new teeth have given you

On Saturday the 2nd of August we attended the Big Latch On! Event. We were counted in a tally of people whom gather together and nurse all together at the same time for a chance at being part of breaking a world record! I was so proud of us for breastfeeding as long as we have to become a part of it. We then attended the Born to Breastfeed event at the zoo on the following Weds - the 6th. It was fun.We have now made it to 8 months breastfeeding! It has been so rewarding and I love that I can nourish you with my body. 8 SOLID months! That's huge! I am now in the process of pumping and storing 100 oz for you for when I attend school in a few weeks. I have 47.50 oz stored and frozen. I am so proud of myself and I am so proud of you. Together, we work together and we have accomplished this amazing goal together. <3




Last weekend we went to Aunt Cindy's and Uncle Mikes. We stayed for a cook out and there was an antique car show in their area. So we went for a walk and looked at all the really neat cars. It was super fun. You rode on daddy's shoulders like you love to do! At the party there was this little girl - she was 8 and so pretty. She was talking to you and making you smile and everything, so so sweet. And I guess you decided you really liked her and you grabbed her head and you leaned in and kissed her right on her cheek! HAHAHA. A big wet, open mouth, slobbery baby kiss! It was just the sweetest thing I've seen. <3 So adorable.

We've recently been meeting up with a mommy and her baby. Sort of a play date for you and mommy may have a potential good friend. :) It's been nice getting out and having someone to interact with and I think it's good for you as well to be around a baby around your age. :) The mommy is Sara and she has an adorable little girl named Lucy - Lucy is 10 months old. She's so sweet and cute. :) We met at a babywearing meet up - the Kangamama's group.





Today we met up with them again and we went to the zoo. It was a rather decent sized group lol. You, daddy, me, sissy, uncle Brian, and Sara and Lucy. We all went. It was a lot of fun! They have so much new stuff and new animals at Roger Williams! I was so excited to go again. We even went into the butterfly exhibit. I love the zoo! You probably will too. :D

7 1/2 months

Dear Noel,
You are hitting 7 1/2 months tomorrow! Not too much new going on. You are starting to stand on your own for a couple seconds at a time. You are a pro at crawling. I've also bought some baby treats for you. You love them. :) There are fruit crisps, banana cookies, and some other type of cookie too.

(Edit in - 8/2/14- 3 days after original post: You have 2 new teeth coming in! Two more top teeth on either side of your other two top teeth. That makes 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth!)





We're still nursing. 7 1/2 months strong! :D I'm so proud of how far we've come. You've started thinking it's funny to stick your fingers in my mouth while I'm nursing you lol. Also, you like to rub your hands on the satin edging on the blanket when you're nursing and trying to fall asleep. You must get that from me. It's so sweet. <3

We still babywear too.








We've actually gone to 2 babywearing meetings which is pretty nice. Hopefully we'll both find friends there for meetings and play dates. :)

7 Months old!!

Dear Noel,
Today you are 7 months old! I can not believe how fast time has flown by. You never cease to amaze me. You are doing so many new things already.

You went to see fireworks for your first time this year. For the 4th of July. You didn't cry or anything. You looked amazed with them lol.

You also went to your first parade. It's called The Great Gaspee parade.
You have started waving to yourself lol, it's cute! I don't exactly know what you're doing but you stick your hand up with your palm towards you then slowly move your fingers up and down while staring at it haha.
You've also started shaking your head side to side and up and down. Although, you seem to shake side to side more. You mainly only shake up and down when you hear music or someone singing. It's cute!



You are super mobile now! I took a video of you a few days ago. You shocked me! I was so impressed by you! You crawled yourself from Mamee's living room to her kitchen. You then tried to get up on the walker but it moves because it has wheels. You then somehow figured out that if you hold the tag that is on the seat underneath the walker, you can hold it in place. You then did that, pulling the walker into you and holding it in place, while you stood yourself up and crawled up onto the back of the walker! You actually stood and then placed each foot on the back of the walker. Crazy child!!

Potato !

You've been eating more foods recently but we have made 7 months on our breastfeeding journey! I am so proud of us and so happy I could give you such nutritious milk!

The other day at Mamee's house you were so jealous that I was holding a baby. So you crawled up into my lap. I got you both into a position where I could hold you both and you could nurse. You then reached out to take the babys hand. Big "awhhh" moment. <3








You like to grab a cup and yell into it to hear yourself echo haha, so freaking cute. You love to make sounds and listen to the vibrations of your voice.
You also say "dada" a lot lol, no "mama" yet though. But that's okay!



Oh and you've officially have 4 teeth! They are just precious haha.

You love your sissy. She is really a big help with you. You guys watch cartoons together and she plays blocks and with toys with you. It's just the sweetest. I love it. I love how much you love one another. <3

Oh and I made this recently because I thought it was amazing. Flashback to when you were in my womb and just born.

Near 28 weeks, 6 1/2 Months big boy!!

Dear Noel,
Goodness, So much has happened since the last time I've posted and it's only been about 3 weeks!!
You are now almost 6 1/2 months old :D. I have no clue how many weeks that is lol... almost 28 weeks? So you are already half way to a year old!! Can you believe it, because I can't ! <3

You are such a smart little boy. You have learned so much. You have learned how to do high fives (thank you daddy :D). You do kisses! LOL With your mouth wide open but hey, it's adorable!! You just started doing raspberries on someones skin today lol! It's cute. You also make the "aahhhhhh" noise while we pat your mouth to make the sounds vibrate lol, you think it's funny. You also do the same in the car waiting for the bumps so your voice will vibrate HAHA. You are pro at pulling yourself up onto things already too. :D Smarty cake!



When we're in the car you start getting angry and you shout and cry - but whenever I stop at a redlight or a stop sign you suddenly stop crying lol because you think we're getting out. I hate hate hate that you hate the car so much that you cry but we have to get to places so it's necessary.. :( But you're a smart little cookie!


You are in the middle of getting your 3rd and 4th tooth!! Which the 3rd tooth started poking through 4 days ago and the 4th tooth started poking a bit through today. :) It's so cute!!







I took you to the beach for your 2nd but actually first official time the 21st :) not the Saturday that just passed but the one before that one. :p You loved it. You were crawling around in the sand on your belly, putting sand on your head lol!, and you loved splashing in the water. It was so great. :D So much fun! 

6 months strong!

You've also tried a bunch of new foods recently. :) Although, you're still mostly breastfed - that's where all your nutrients come from. Can you believe we've been nursing for 6 months!? I'm so proud of us. You get so much out of mommy's milk. So many good nutrients and antibodies to protect you from getting sick. It's so wonderful and I love our nursing journey. You've become so silly while nursing. Recently you'll latch on, drink a bit, then get a large mouthful and pull off smiling as you let it drip all out of your mouth LOL, messy boy! It's too funny! 

Your sister is amazing with you. She loves to play with you and entertain you. :) I love watching you two grow and play together. Your sister loves singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" with me whenever you're really fussy. You LOVE when we sing to you. You really seem to love the sound of mine and your sissys voice. :) It's so precious. <3 

Oh and this past weekend we went to your Uncle Brian's graduation party and GG held you and rocked you to sleep, it was so sweet. You also got to experience the pool for the first time but you were not a fan LOL. 

<3  You are one of the sweetest things to have ever happened to me and here you are blossoming right before my eyes! I can't believe I have you and I feel so entirely grateful that you are here with me and chose me to be your mommy on this Earth. Everyday I do my very best and I hope that I never let you down. 

24 weeks old. 5 1/2 months !

Dear Noel,
You are now 24 weeks old! Which is 5 months 2.5 weeks. The day after I had posted the last post to you about you getting a tooth in, you got another one coming in! They're adorable, of course lol. I've been taking you to the park more often, you seem to enjoy the swing.

You like a lot of strange things LOL. When you're crying and we can't figure out what you need or want we can try a few other things. These things include: Giving you a water bottle - for some reason you stop crying and you just hug it and try to eat it LOL, Startle you by making a silly noise or saying "Boo!" lol, Sing twinkle twinkle little star - you LOVE when I sing to you, and clapping hahaha - you love when people clap their hands in                                                                 front of you; you seem fascinated by it.

This is how I have to hold you back from crawling off the bed.
LOL. You're definitely not frightful.

You are officially on the move. You now do this sort of crawl/lunge. You get up on your hands and knees on the bed, then you plant your face into the bed as you dig your toes and feet into the bed, sticking your bum in the air, then you kick off - lunging you forward. HAHA. It is the cutest. But now we have to be very careful and pay attention to you at all times, every second. Because you are QUICK!

You have started to crawl off the bed, which is really frightening for all of us.

The other night you somehow got out from between your dad and I in the middle of the night as we were sleeping and you crawled down to the end of the bed in attempt to play with your jumpy exersaucer toy LOL. I woke up just in time to grab you and nurse you back to sleep. Silly boy!


I recently got given a crib by Auntie Cindy and Uncle Mike. I put you in it for the first time two nights ago. At first I put you into a deep sleep before putting you in the crib around 11:30pm then I woke up around 3am though and I couldn't hear or feel you breathing and I panicked. You got startled awake and started crying and I felt it was a great reason for you to come back to bed with daddy and I. Yesterday I attempted to put you in this crib and you wouldn't sit lol, so you held onto the railings and you stood! You just stood all by yourself holding onto the railings of the crib. What a big boy!


Oh my goodness, I HAVE to mention how much you LOVE the bathtub. As a littler baby you loved the shower and the water and you would go right to sleep. But now you get SO excited in the bathtub! You splash the water and you bounce your body and laugh. You are too freaking cute lol. The excitement is overflowing. When you laugh and feel joy it certainly spreads to everyone that you're around. It's amazing how pure and joyful you are. I mean, you are just a baby but still. :p


You are hitting milestones SO fast. Just a week and a half ago you learned to sit! You now have that mastered. You are probably going to be walking within the next couple months or so lol.

I also feel like you understand the word, "No." I say that because when I say it to you when you're doing something I'd like you to stop - you stop. lol. You stop and you don't try it again, most of the time. :p

You also make the silliest faces lol. They're just adorable. I can't help but laugh. :p







You've had your first beach trip last Monday which was Memorial day. We also visited Papa Doug's parents at the cemetery. I didn't put you on the sand but I did sit you up on a log and take pictures with you and your sister and some of just you. :)


You've also had your first Carousel ride ! You seemed to like it lol. :)







This past week we also have started handing you some table foods. We've tried some potatoes, pancake, Nilla wafer cookies, and toast.You just licked the potatoes and pancake lol but you went to town on the cookie and toast. You actually ate a whole Nilla cookie and a whole half piece of toast! That's crazy!

22.5 weeks :) 5 Months !!

Dear Noel,
You are becoming such a big boy already !! I can not believe how far you've come in just 5 months ! You have such a strong personality and you KNOW what you want! You can sit up on your own for several minutes at a time all on your own now!
You started doing that last Sunday on the 18th of May! You had just turned 5 months old! At first you could only hold yourself for 30seconds to a minute. But the next day you held it about a minute to a minute and a half. Then on the third day you really started getting the hang of it!! And now you sit up like a pro!
Today I noticed that your first tooth is popping through!! So crazy ! I am super super excited about it lol and I don't really know why. But it's exciting for me to watch all these little milestones.

As I have previously mentioned you have such a strong personality, you literally throw fits already when you don't get your own way. I think I may just have my hands full with you. :p Today you wanted my cell phone at the grocery store and I wouldn't let you have it, so you started screaming and crying about it. I picked you up and hugged you until you calmed down and then you seemed to have forgotten why you were so upset to begin with. You rode in the cart for your very first time today! You loved it!

Oh, you've also recently taken your first ride on a swing!! You like it lol, you're not overly amused with it but you seem to enjoy it. Although you don't seem to like the stomach drop feeling which is what I assume you make that silly face at when the swing is coming forward lol!
Hm, what else? ... Clapping. LOL, You really like clapping. You think it's hysterical when anyone claps in front of you. I think you like the noise it makes. You just laugh and laugh and laugh. :p It's adorable!
We went on your sissy's first field trip with her! You were a bit fussy since you were stuck wrapped up in the mai tai with me most of the time but you were still really good. You didn't even cry. :) We went to this outside nature walk place. It was interesting I guess lol.

OH ! One more thing. Your daddy proposed to me! On the 15th of this month! It was so sweet. We were down at Lee's pond and I was wearing you. We sat down looking for fishes but there were none - then out of nowhere there were tons! We joked that you were the fish whisperer! The fish stayed for a while and I wondered aloud why they were still around us. Your daddy said, "I think I know what they're waiting for!" And he got down on his knee and proposed! I said yes of course! Then he gave me a kiss and right after you mimicked! And made a kissy face and sound with your little lips LOL, too cute!

It' 5 months and we're still nursing strong! Only breastmilk for you ! <3 I think its incredible that not only did I grow you inside of my body but I am continuing to give you health and life outside of my body while still using my body! My body alone provides you with nourishment, life, and growth. And that is just so crazy and amazing!
